George Barbic 2 year starter at Cabrillo 1974, 1975. Coast Conference champs and tied in Nor Cal playoff with College of the Redwoods in 1974. Co-Coast Conference champs in 1975. Two time All Conference player, Unanimous in 1975. Led team in tackles in 1975, defensive signal caller.

Recruited by Cal, San Jose State, Utah State, San Diego State, Oregon, Oregon State, Utah, Utah State and UOP.

Played at Cal on a full football scholarship, Cal was rated 8th and 11th in preseason poll in college football. Started in Spring Game and two regular season Pac 8 games (Oregon, Oregon State)

Transferred to Utah State for senior season, full scholarship.
